Bobby Gene "Bob" Wells, 69, of Brilliant, OH, passed away suddenly on Sunday July 7, 2019 at home.

He was born Feb. 22, 1950 in Ashland, KY, a son of the late Shirley R. "Pappy" and Beatrice E. (Chinn) Wells. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Jackie Lee "Jack" Wells, Sr., Larry Joe Wells and two infant brothers.

Bob was a retired body man and mechanic at the former Matthews Motor Company in Brilliant where he worked since the age of 15. He enjoyed his daily trips to McDonalds with Leah.

Surviving are his wife, Sandy (Scott) Wells, whom he married July 13, 1974; two daughters, Rachael R. Wells and her fiancé Robert "Pilby" Kendle of Brilliant, OH and Rochelle R. (Mark) Crowe of Weirton, WV; a grandson, Ethan Crowe; a great-niece, Leah, who they are raising; a brother, Raymond (Joyce) Wells of Brilliant, OH; and a niece whom they consider a daughter, Christina (Dave) Mains of Mingo Junction, OH.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St. Brilliant, OH on Tuesday from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m.
