Betty M. Rager, 84, of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away Saturday April 15, 2017 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.
She was born December 3, 1932 in Brilliant, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clyde and Ora M. (Pond) Ogden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin "Junior" Rager, Jr.; a son, Mark Rager; and a brother, Richard J. Ogden.
Betty worked as a clerk and manager at the former Co-Op in Georges Run. She was a former member of Harmony Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed putting together puzzles, family reunions, baking cookies for her family at Christmas and spending time with her great-grandchildren.
Surviving are a son Bruce (Cindy Mossor) Rager of Mingo Junction, OH; a daughter, Darla Haught of Mingo Junction, OH; two granddaughters, Mindy Rager and her companion Andre Roach and Betsy Haught-James and her fiancé Ryan McCann; and three great-grandchildren, Colton and Sienna James and Korra McCann.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, where her funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m., with Michael Gromczewski, officiating. Private interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
