Betty Grant, 86, of Brilliant, Ohio, passed away Saturday April 16, 2016 at her home.

She was born November 24, 1929 in Toronto, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sarah (Ward) Basso; and a sister, Virginia Kelty.

Betty worked at the former Williams Drugstore in Brilliant and also at the Brilliant Public Library. She was a member of the Brilliant Christian Church where she was in Womens Fellowship and she was a member of the former Junior Womens Club. She loved to read, sew and knit; and enjoyed baking cookies and sharing them during the holidays.

Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Donald Grant, whom she married on June 18, 1951; two sons, Garth (Colleen) Grant of Chesterland, OH and Greg (Christina) Grant of Brilliant, OH; a daughter, Gayla Grant of Brilliant, OH; seven grandchildren, Caitlin, Kyle, Maggie, Halle, Molly, Casey and Jessica; and a great-grandson, Trevor.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of her services at 7:00 p.m. with Dr. Marc R. Tinstman, Minister and Pastor Roger Wayne, officiating.
