Benjamin R. Thompson, Sr., 60, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Thursday December 31, 2020 in the emergency room at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.

He was born July 2, 1960 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late James H. Thompson and Betty (Evans) Thompson of Mingo Junction, OH.

Ben was a heavy equipment operator out of Operating Engineers Local 132 in Glen Dale, WV. He was a member of Jefferson Sportsman Club. Ben enjoyed hunting, fishing, archery and walking his dog Scooby.

In addition to his mom he is survived by three sons, Wesley Thompson and his companion Jessica Drexler of Mingo Junction, OH, Benjamin Thompson, Jr. of Mingo Junction, OH and Bryant Thompson and his companion Nicole Knight of Bloomingdale, OH; two brothers, Charles Thompson, Sr. of Wintersville, OH and Ronald Thompson of Mingo Junction, OH; a sister, Betty Lou (Chris) Tarr of Steubenville, OH; and six grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction.

Masks are required and please do not linger after you pay your respects.
