Barbara J. "Barb" Green, 82, of Brilliant, OH, passed away Thursday April 28, 2022 at Shadyside Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Shadyside, OH.

She was born September 5, 1939 in Brilliant, OH a daughter of the late Ernest A. and Mary F. (Steen) Bane. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. "Bob" Green on January 25, 2009; a son, Richard "Ernie" Green on May 14, 2012; and three brothers, Charles "Charlie" Bane, Herman Bane and Sonny Bane.

Barb was retired from the former K-Mart Department Store and Wells Township, where she was the former head of the Wells Township Senior Citizens. Barb graduated from Brilliant Memorial High School. She was a member of the Brilliant Christian Church and the Brilliant First United Presbyterian Church. Barb founded the group Caring and Sharing in Brilliant. She enjoyed word searches, crocheting and puzzles.

Surviving are her daughter, Beverly (Steve) Stillion of Martins Ferry, OH; a sister, Jane (Edwin) Hood of Wintersville, OH; and a grandson, Tyler (Brianna) Stillion.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of her memorial service at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Monogioudis, officiating. Private burial at New Alexandria Cemetery.
