Anna Kopcha, 98, of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away Friday September 9, 2016 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.

She was born October 18, 1917 in Mingo Junction, Ohio, a daughter of the late John and Anna (Hunar) Halischak. In addition her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Kopcha; a daughter, Martha Romanda; three brothers, George and John Halischak and an infant; and four sisters, Elizabeth Molchan, Margaret "Peg" Brettell, Mary Rusen and Martha Ardito.

Anna was a homemaker and she also worked at both the First Ohio Valley News and Mingo National Bank. She was a very devoted member of St. Andrew Orthodox Church in Mingo where she sang in the choir and was a member of the St. Andrew Sisterhood. She loved mailing and receiving cards.

Surviving are three sons, Fr. John (Paula) Kopcha and Theodore Kopcha both of Mingo Junction, Ohio and Robert (Judy) Kopcha of Cincinnati, Ohio; a daughter, Kathryn (Paul) Cutri of Steubenville, Ohio; twelve grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received tomorrow Sunday September 11th from 4-7:30 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction. On Monday Anna will Lay in State at St. Andrew Orthodox Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with her son the V. Rev. John Kopcha and her nephew Fr. Basil Rusen officiating. A repass dinner at the church will follow the funeral service, and then interment will take place at Northern Cemetery in Smithfield, Ohio.

There will be a Panahida Service on Sunday at 6:00 p.m.
