Robert W. "Bob" Jaeger Obituary

Robert W. “Bob” Jaeger, 72, of Steubenville, OH, passed away Sunday March 3, 2019 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH.

He was born November 21, 1946 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Robert H. and Lois J. (Chesser) Jaeger.

Bob worked at Wesbanco where he began his career setting up the optical imaging department and he retired in December of 2011 finishing his career in Loan Operations. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam and was stationed in Japan. While living in Charleston, WV he graduated from the citizens police watch committee then became president of his neighborhood watch group. He was also a former member of the Folk Dancing group that met at Oglebay.

Surviving are his longtime companion, James “Lindy” Waddell of Steubenville, OH; a brother, Richard A. and his wife Terri Jaeger of St. Clairsville, OH; a sister, Lisa M. Yates of Charleston, WV; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and one great-great-niece.

In following with Bob’s wishes there will be no services.
