Marsha M. Lane, 75, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Saturday September 1, 2018 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 22, 1943 in Martins Ferry, Ohio a daughter of the late James and Anna (Kinkus) Motto. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Lane; two brothers, James and Ray Motto; and a sister, Connie Hood.
Marsha worked for over 30 years at Chappano’s Market in Mingo Junction and was Catholic by Faith. She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates; going out dancing; watching the Hallmark Channel and Days of our Lives; and most importantly spending time with her children and grandchildren, she especially enjoyed going to her grandsons ball games.
Surviving are three children, Julie Lane, Kim Lane and her fiancé Luke Padgelek and Jimmy (Amy) Lane, all of Mingo Junction, OH; a brother, Sam (Judy) Motto of Rayland, OH; a sister, Ceil Weir of Wheeling, WV; six grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah, Austin, Aiden, Melia and Max; and two great-grandsons, Casen and Declan.
She will be missed dearly and live in our hearts forever.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, on Wednesday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral services at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, officiating.
