Lois M. Kerr

Lois M. Kerr, 86, of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away Friday May 17, 2019 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, Ohio.

She was born June 16, 1932 in Wellsburg, WV, a daughter of the late Rufus and Clara (Hand) Mayle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald D. Kerr on Dec. 6, 2000; five brothers, Glenn, Harvey, Samer, Millard and Earl Mayle; and a sister, Addie Verhovec

Lois was a homemaker and a member of the former Raynes Methodist Church. She was a member of the LaBelle Chapter #414 Order of Eastern Star and the ladies auxiliary at Hillndale Volunteer Fire Department

Surviving are two sons, Scott (Barbara) Kerr of Mingo Junction, OH and Steven Kerr of Springfield, IL; a daughter, Donna Anderson of Mingo Junction, OH; three sisters, Mary (Kenneth) Brodzinski of Mesa, AZ, Edith (Joe) Fetty of Brilliant, OH and Martha (John) Domenick of Smithfield, OH; four grandchildren, Allen (Michelle) Anderson and Donald Anderson and Josh Kerr and his companion Debbie Smith and Ashley Kerr; two great-grandchildren, Amber and Clara Anderson; and family friend, Bob Kuznik of Springfield, IL.              

Friends will be received on Thursday May 23rd from 4-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction where her services will be held on Friday May 24th at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dr. Holley Faulkner, officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates, Wintersville, OH.

There will be an Eastern Star Service on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
