Judith Ann “Judy” Brown, 74, a colorful character of Brilliant, OH passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday June 5, 2018.
She was born October 20, 1943 in Brilliant, Ohio, a daughter of the late Harry T. and Evelyn (Bell) Scott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. “Charlie” Brown, Sr.
Judy retired in 1998 from AEP, Cardinal Plant in Brilliant. She was a member of the Brilliant Fire Department for 18 years, the Brilliant American Legion Auxiliary, where she was past District President and the Brilliant Christian Church.
Surviving are a son, Brian Harvey of Brilliant, OH; a daughter, Trisha (Mark) Meszaros of Dallas, GA; a step-son, Charles E. (Linda) Brown, Jr. of Adena, OH; two step-daughters, Alice (Joseph) Ellis of Rush Run, OH and Helen (Walter) Johnson of Pleasantville, OH; two brothers, Paul (Karen) Scott of Brilliant, OH and Robert (Sandy) Scott of Orient, OH; four grandchildren, Brian (Erika) Harvey, Austin Meszaros, Olivia Meszaros and Noah Harvey; and a great-grandson, Jordan Thomas Harvey.
Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant where her funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Roger J. Foys, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery. Directly following the cemetery service, a luncheon will be provided at the Brilliant Fire Department
There will be a fire department service on Friday at 7:30 p.m. with Brilliant Legion Auxiliary services to follow.
