Helen E. Scivinsky, 92, of Rayland, OH, passed away Saturday May 4, 2019 at Rolling Hills Care Center in Bridgeport, OH.
She was born May 19, 1926 in Woodsfield, OH, a daughter of the late Orville and Gertrude (Stephens) Hooper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Scivinsky, who passed away April 30, 2003; three sisters, Betty Nicholson, Pauline Cline and Lucille Piatt; and two brothers, Jim and Bill Hooper.
Helen worked in Zanesville in a defense plant during WWII and she also worked at Home Pearl Laundry in Warwood, WV. She was Christian by Faith.
Surviving are three daughters, Evelyn (Maurice) Brewer, Mary Kay (Melvin) Letusick and Paulette Coss, all of Rayland, OH; three grandchildren, Miranda (Derek) Zoladz, Mark (Leslie) Letusick and Robert “Paul” Coss; and two great-grandsons, Mason and Luke Letusick.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. and also on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral services at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Roger Wayne, officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery, Rayland.
