Lawrence E. “Larry” Wilson, 73, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Friday December 18, 2020 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, OH.
He was born November 28, 1947 in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Harry and Evelyn Mae (Hanlin) Wilson, Sr.. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shawna Wilson; and a grandson, Dustin Wilson.
Larry worked at the Toronto Paper Mill, then he retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp where he was a welder. He enjoyed riding his motorcycles and 4 wheelers, hunting, fishing and hanging out with his buddies. He was always working on something, weather it needed fixed or not, and tinkering in his garage. Larry was always entertaining people by singing songs or making funny faces.
Surviving are four children, Tammy (Randy) Wilson-Chio of Mingo Junction, OH, Lawrence “Eddie” Wilson, Jr. of Steubenville, OH, Cindy (Steven) Lawver of Mingo Junction, OH and Michael (Kelly) Wilson of Mingo Junction, OH; a brother, Harry “Bud” (Veronica) Wilson, Jr. of Rayland, OH; and three grandchildren, Brandon, Braylynn and Leah.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction on Monday from 5-7 p.m. Masks are required and the family is politely asking that you not linger after you pay your respects. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 at New Alexandria Cemetery with Rev. Jack Jackson, officiating.
