Tommy Dimmit

Tommy Dimmit, 70, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away Thursday May 25, 2017 at the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, Ohio.

He was born December 19, 1946 in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Chuck and Mary A. (Sauro) Young. In addition his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannie Dimmit on April 12, 2017; and a sister, Cathy Burdge.

Tommy served his country in the U.S. Army, was Catholic by Faith; and retired from Security.

Surviving are three brothers, Rick (Kathy) Young of Lompoc, CA, Billy (Sherry) Young of Mingo Junction, OH and Chuck Young of Wintersville, OH; a sister, Lynn (Jay) Juresko of Mingo Junction, OH; two sons, Donald (Nancy) Stoddart of Youngstown, OH and George (Cathy) Stoddart of Mingo Junction, OH; a daughter, Lisa (Monty) Montgomery of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, Erin (Nick) Roxby, Matthew (Brittany) Stoddart, Kayla Montgomery, Alexandrea, Susan and Scott Stoddart; a great-grandson, Brayden Stoddart; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received to celebrate his life at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, on Tuesday May 30th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of his memorial service at Noon, with Fr. Jack McCoy, officiating. Private interment at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo.
