Margaret E. Bednarek

Margaret E. Bednarek, 87, of Mingo Junction, Ohio passed away Sunday June 18, 2017 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North, Steubenville, OH.

She was born May 1, 1930 in New Philadelphia, OH, a daughter of the late Leo and Lillian (Bonzi) Mason. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Edward Bednarek, Sr.; a brother, Ronald Mason; and a sister, Elizabeth Mason.

Margaret was a homemaker and Methodist by Faith. She was a member of the Slovak Club and an avid Polka Dancer.

She is survived by her two sons, Edward (Paula) Bednarek, Jr. of Navarre, OH and David (Nancy) Bednarek of Mingo Junction, OH; two grandsons, Shaun (Dawne) Bednarek and Todd (Amanda) Bednarek, both of East Liverpool, OH; five great-grandchildren, Christlyn and Kailynne Werstler and Chelsye, Ashlynn and Bryson Bednarek, all of East Liverpool, OH; three sisters, Jean Morgan of Quaker City, OH, Judy Blua of Colgate, OK and Carol Miller of Dillonvale, OH; two brothers, Joseph (Peg) Mason of Dillonvale, OH and Richard (Gail) Mason of Morrow, OH; and many nieces and nephews.            

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction, where her funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. George Romage, officiating. Private interment will follow at Holly Memorial Gardens, Colerain, OH.
