Jeannie M. Dimmit

Jeannie M. Dimmit, 77, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Wednesday April 12, 2017 in the emergency room at Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, OH.

She was born November 4, 1939 in Steubenville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Donald and Betty (Brown) Miller.

Jeannie retired in 1998 from the accounts receivable and accounts payable department at Eastern Ohio Correctional Center. She was a member at the Harmony United Methodist Church and the U.M.W. at the church. Jeannie also enjoyed volunteering at the Urban Mission.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas Dimmit of Mingo Junction, OH; two sons, George P. (Cathy) Stoddart of Mingo Junction, OH and Don (Nancy) Stoddart of Youngstown, OH; a daughter, Lisa (Monty) Montgomery of Louisville, KY; six grandchildren, Erin (Nick) Roxby, Matthew (Brittany) Stoddart, Kayla Montgomery, Alexandria Stoddart, Susan Stoddart and Scott Stoddart; a great-grandchild, Brayden Stoddart; and her beloved dog, Peyton.

Friends will be received to celebrate Jeannie’s life at the Harmony United Methodist Church on Friday April 21st from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her memorial service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sam Davis, officiating. Private interment at Oakland Cemetery, Mingo Junction, OH.
