Irene F. Fair

Irene F. Fair, 84, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Friday June 10, 2016 at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.

She was born June 17, 1931 in Detroit, MI, a daughter of the late William C. and Edith (Pelegreen) Carr. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry John Fair; a granddaughter, Yvonne “Munchie” Fair; a step-son, John Fair; and a brother, Lee Bentz.

Irene was a homemaker; she enjoyed canning, crocheting, gardening, and flowers.  She also liked guns and was an avid sharpshooter.

Surviving are two sons, Harry J. (Donna) Fair of Mingo Junction and Lowell “Ding” (Jeanette) Fair of Rayland, Ohio; two daughters, Petey (Richard) Cecil of Rayland, Ohio and Naomi Pehanich of Steubenville, Ohio; a brother, Gordon Carr of Hopedale, Ohio; six grandchildren, Yo (Jeff) Long, Tony (Ibbet) Fair, Christopher Pehanich and his companion Jenifer Abraham, John John Fair, Jason Brown and Angela (Mark) Wilson; and two great grandchildren, Mia Fair and Trevor Wilson.

Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral services at 1:00 p.m. with
Dr. Marc R. Tinstman, Minister, officiating. Interment will follow at New Alexandria Cemetery.
