Ida Mae “Grandma Ida” Jarman, 78, of Brilliant, Ohio, passed away Friday April 13, 2018 in the Valley Hospice Care Center North in Steubenville, Ohio.
She was born June 24, 1939 in Bergholz, Ohio a daughter of the late Delmer and Eva (Shocksnyder) Griffith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles D. “Charlie” Jarman, Sr. on October 6, 2015; two sons, Charles D. Jarman, Jr. and Jeffrey Allen Jarman; and five brothers, James, Rickey, Tom, Bill, and Chuckie Griffith.
Ida worked at the former Georges Run Grocery and at the former Jades Short Stop in Mingo. She was Methodist by Faith and enjoyed working puzzle books and playing bingo.
Surviving are a son, Paul (Georgia) Jarman; a daughter, Melissa (Kevin) Mossor both of Brilliant, OH; a daughter-in-law, Debra (Frank) Yamber of Burgettstown, PA; a brother, Harold (Sandy) Griffith of Bergholz, OH; five sisters, Beverly Dickson and Annie Madison, both of Salineville, OH, Ruthie Frederick of Oklahoma City, OK, Connie Householder of Irondale, OH and Jenny (Leo) Bennett of Bergholz, OH; six grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In following with Ida’s wishes she was buried privately at New Alexandria Cemetery.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at the Brilliant Methodist Church on Friday April 20th at 5:00 p.m.
