Brian J. Maguire

Brian J. Maguire, 67, of Mingo Junction, OH, passed away peacefully Wednesday August 2, 2017 at the VA Hospital in Oakland, PA.

He was born December 1, 1949 in Harvard, Illinois, a son of the late Robert and Doris (Jones) Maguire.

Brian was a retired Electrician at Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp during Vietnam. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church; the Wintersville American Legion Post #557; the Mingo Knights of Columbus Council #4361; and the V.F.W.

Surviving are his wife, Karen (Skedel) Maguire, whom he married December 26, 1970; four children, Dawn Maguire of Mingo Junction, OH, Sean (Jamie) Maguire of Galion, OH, Robin (Kyle) Crocker of Ravenna, OH and Nikki Maguire of Ravenna, Ohio; six grandchildren, Mary Maguire-Kish, Noah and Emma Maguire and Logan, Payton and Oliver Crocker; and his three dogs, Gizzy, Mocha and Angel.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction. On Monday there will be visitation at St. Agnes Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Liturgy with Mass at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Fr. James M. Dunfee, celebrant.  Interment will follow at Fort Steuben Burial Estates in Wintersville, Ohio, with Military Honors by the Wintersville American Legion Post #557.

On Sunday there will be a Vigil Service at 7:45 p.m. and the K of C Rosary service will follow at 8:00 p.m.
